Hey fellow tri-atheletes,
Just thought I'd report on training this week:
Monday: Katrina and I did the 2-mile Run test. Michael, Brandon and Krista ran along with us. I was dying and they were fooling around! Oh to be young!
Tuesday: I was going to bike outside but it snowed. So I put my bike on the trainer (Donelle, you are welcome to come use it) Rich had sent me a training plan for the week so I did his plan which was 20 minutes warm up at a cadence of 90 (I was a little shy of that cadence) and then cycling with just one foot 8x 1 min. And then a 10 minute Warm-down. It was fun. I thinking biking is going to be my favorite part (except for the hills).
Katrina took Tuesday off as she was very sore.
Wednesday: Katrina got up and rode my bike on the trainer and then did a running program on my treadmill (how long Katrina?). Then she joined me at the pool Wednesday night so we could test our 50 m time and 100 m time. I will be able to do the 300 at a non-racing pace but if I try to go faster, I start dying. My non-racing pace is about 70 seconds for 50 m.
I am excited about this and hope that we can all help each other stick to the training and then finish the race!
Thanks to Rich for all his help!
Barb
PS Tomorrow I am trying Plyometrics training that Rich has on a disc. I will come get it tomorrow, probably after Tae Kwon Do!
