*This table allows you to roughly estimate the calories you burn during exercise. Actual numbers will vary with body size and intensity.  These numbers include the RMR calories that are used during exercise.

RMR = Resting metabolic rate (RMR) and is the amount of energy the body uses to maintain itself while lying down or sitting.

I find that this is pretty accurate and a good general feel for calorie loss.... The key here is that your body needs calories so that you don't start burning muscles.
